The essay below is a charming period piece from my archive, written when I was working with a theatre company staging Neil Oram's play about the 1960s revolution, The Warp. Naturally, I was writing in the 'free love' hippie idiom of that play but although some of the sentiments are very much those of a 26 year old musician, the key arguments, based on Wilhelm Reich, D H Lawrence and Kundalini Yoga, still stand.
My prophecy of a mechanised society run on pornographic lines was spot on also...
